Fabrizio Roccatello

Fabrizio Roccatello was born in Crespino (Rovigo) in 1947.  A retired restorer, he lives in Rivoli, where he keeps on working with wood, a material that – as he describes it – lets itself be shaped, becoming a source of therapeutic pleasure for the artist. His research is about the shape already existing within the material, where the sculptor’s aim is not to add but to take off, led by the material itself.
